James trained as a fine artist at Cleveland College of Art & Design and Graphic designer at the University of Teesside where he gained his BA Hons. He has worked in the arts for over 15 yrs, and has worked as a graphic designer, photographer and artist in established design studios and also ran his own successful studio in the North East of England.
In 1999 he began exploring digital manipulation to create images that are a synthesis of photography, graphic design and illustration. Combining his design, innovation and visionary creative skills, james works holistically with leading clients across areas of corporate, publishers, Arts, retail, hospitality, small business and government, adding value and providing solutions to complex marketing and communication challenges.
He currently works as a freelance graphic designer, photographer and artist in the North East of England, where he is building a reputation for his creative digital art work and photography. As well as a day job he also manages to fit in freelance work as a photographer and artist working for Magazines, PR, and Design Studios, and producing work for album covers as well as murals commissioned for homes and offices as well as exhibiting his photography and digital art work, his work has appeared in galleries, magazines (Kenaz, Living Life Style, etc) and on Book covers, CD covers from individual clients. His work is also featured on several online galleries.
